#13 - October 2012

Stroble hosted sesh number 13, on a cold & wet October evening. Everyone warmed up with some Rogue Voodoo Maple Bacon Ale, and then proceeded to the basement to warm-up the new (used) Pioneer receiver.

Oh yeah! We had a first–someone spun a record that no one had ever heard before. Including the LP's owner. Turns out that Rock 'n Roll Rocket is the funky white-Dad jam. (Later, we did spin the 45 of "Moonlight Feels Right" from Stroble's personal stash.)

#12 - September 2012

Meeting #12! Hey, we've been a club for a whole year. I think that means we get to start wearing strange hats, or have laminated member ID's, or ... something cool-er. Shawn must've known, and brought commemorative gifts (music...of course).

#12 was at Drew's. There was bacon...lamb bacon, to be specific. (Did you know baby lambs are actually 99.8% bacon?) And bacon saltwater taffy acquired in Monterrey, California.

#11 - August 2012

Meeting #11 was really fun. It was held at my (Jon's) new house, in the "record room." A couple guys didn't make it, but that seems to work out OK usually. We seem to be averaging around 7 people per meeting, even when a couple regulars aren't able to attend. Anyway, here are the sides we played. Some dudes were trying to hate on my choice of D'Angelo's Voodoo, but anyone who has listened to that album all the way through knows it's a STONE COLD FUCKING CLASSIC.

Oh yeah, and we ate some bacon cheese hotdogs. You know it was delicious.

Meeting #10 was at Shawn's house, and it was a blast. Really odd mix of styles at this one, but all pretty interesting records. BLTs and good tunes on a pleasant summer evening. We even left the front door open - it had a great view of the Broad Ripple Dog Park. Fun times.
